This Short story of Shirdi Sai Baba is a part of group or category – Dictum of great evolved souls
Gaulibua was a dedicated devotee of Vitthal. He was a Varkari from Pandharpur. He was ninety-five years of age. He used to spend ‘Chaturmas‘ On the banks of Ganga(Godavari), and remaining eight months in Phandharpur.
With a donkey and a disciple he would make his pilgrimage each year with the constant chant of ‘Ram Krishna Hari’ on his lips and in his heart. This annual pilgrimage enabled him to meet Sai Baba in Shirdi every year during these journeys.
Gazing into Baba’s face, he would become humble and exclaim, ” This truly is Pandharinath Incarnation. He is the refuge of the friendless and destitute. He is the all merciful one.
Does one become a saint merely by wearing a dhoti with a silk border; Not indeed; Here one has to wear out ones bones, turn one’s blood in to water, by one’s own arduous effort;
” How can one become God for nothing; truly He (Sai) is Pandharirao;”
Such words slept out a great devotee of God, a dedicated worshiper of Vitthala of Pandharpur.
